Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers to the questions injured people ask us most. Still unsure? The consultation is free.
How much does it cost to hire the firm?
Nothing up front. We work on a contingency fee, which means we only get paid if we recover money for you. The consultation is free, and there is no fee unless we win.
How long do I have to file a claim in Georgia?
In most Georgia personal-injury cases the statute of limitations is two years from the date of the injury, but important deadlines can come much sooner, and some claims against government entities require notice within months. Talk to us early so you do not lose your rights.
What is my case worth?
It depends on the facts: the severity of your injuries, your medical costs, lost income, long-term effects, and who was at fault. We evaluate all of it, including future care, so a claim is not settled for less than it is worth. We will give you an honest assessment at your free consultation.
The insurance company already offered me money. Should I take it?
Talk to a lawyer before you accept or sign anything. First offers are usually far below the real value of a claim, and once you settle you cannot reopen the case if your injuries turn out to be worse. Let us review the offer for free before you decide.
How long will my case take?
Some cases resolve in a few months; others, especially serious-injury or disputed cases, take longer. We move as efficiently as the facts allow and keep you updated at every stage. We never rush a case at the cost of its value, and we never let it drag without reason.
What should I do right after an accident?
Get medical care, even if you feel okay; some injuries surface later. Report the incident, take photos if you can, get contact information for any witnesses, and keep records of everything. Avoid giving a recorded statement to the other side's insurer, and call us before you do.
